When Datalizer ribbon does not appear in Excel menu, various causes can be considered as follows:
1. “DatalizerExcel2010” is listed in Disabled Application Add-ins in Excel.
2. “DatalizerExcel2010” is listed in Inactive Application Add-ins in Excel.
3. Add-ins are disabled by the setting of Trust Center in Excel.
If none of the above addresses the issue, try the followings:
4. Uninstall and re-install DatalizerClient/Excel Plugin.
5. Exclude related folders from getting monitored in your security software.
1. “DatalizerExcel2010” is listed in Disabled Application Add-ins in Excel.
- Click File - Options - Add-ins in Excel.
- Make sure “DatalizerExcel2010” is NOT listed in Disabled Application Add-ins.
- If “DatalizerExcel2010” is listed, select Disabled Items in Manage drop-down menu and click Go button.
- Select "DatalizerExcel2010" in Disabled Items dialog box and click Enable - Close.
2. “DatalizerExcel2010” is listed in Inactive Application Add-ins in Excel.
- Click File - Options - Add-ins in Excel.
- Make sure “DatalizerExcel2010” is NOT listed in Inactive Application Add-ins.
- If “DatalizerExcel2010” is listed, close Excel and proceed to the next steps.
- Launch Datalizer Client, and click Environment Settings icon (Spanner icon).
- Click Excel Plugin setting in the left pane.
- Make sure "Excel Plugin Enabled" is selected.
- If “Excel Plugin Disabled" is selected, click To enable Excel Plugin.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK in Datalizer dialog box.
3. Add-ins are disabled by the setting of Trust Center in Excel.
- Click File - Options - Trust Center in Excel.
- Click Trust Center Settings button and click Add-ins in the left pane.
- Make sure to un-tick Disable all Application Add-ins (may impair functionality) checkbox.
- Click OK in Trust Center dialog box.
4. Uninstall and re-install Datalizer Client/Excel Plugin.
Refer to “2-5 Unistallation” in Product Manual.
5. Exclude related folders from getting monitored in your security software.
Security software programs may be blocking Datalizer ribbon appearing.
Exclude following folders from getting monitored in your security software:
C:\Windows\assembly
C:\Windows.old\assembly
C:\ProgramData\WingArc\Datalizer
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apps
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\assembly
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\WingArc\Datalizer
1. Close DatalizerClient and Excel.
2. Open a command prompt as Administrator and run the following command:
Note : If the command is failed, run it in safe mode.
cd C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\office\15.0.0.0__71e9bce111e9429c
del /q office.dll
3. Go to Windows Settings and select Apps - Apps & features.
4. Select “Microsoft Office Standard 2016” and run Modify - Repair. (*1)
(*1) It depends on which office version you use. This is the case of Office 2016.
Note : Windows may restart automatically once repair process is completed.
5. After finishing the above steps, check to see if the “office.dll” file exists under the following path:
C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\office\15.0.0.0__71e9bce111e9429c
6. Start Excel and check to see if Datalizer ribbon appears.
